 At Odyssey, our mission is to create leaders in our community, enhance skills, and promote essential teamwork. Our Local Team program is the perfect path for young athletes to achieve these goals in a flexible, high-value environment.

 

Season Structure & Flexibility
We understand the demands of dual-sport athletes, which is why we’ve structured our Local Season into two distinct, manageable sessions:

Winter Season: January – End of March
Spring Season: April – End of May

Athletes are encouraged, but not required, to play both seasons. This structure allows for maximum participation without demanding a six-month commitment.

We hold two separate tryouts (Winter & Spring). We strive to keep teams together all year, filling spots as needed for the Spring Season.

Our Commitment to Inclusion: Our goal is to accommodate every athlete who tries out, regardless of prior experience, as long as our coach-to-player ratios allow. We work hard to ensure everyone has a home at Odyssey.

Cost Per Season	$400.00 per season. (Total annual tuition is $800.00 if you play both seasons.)
Registration Fee	A one-time $45.00 fee is required for tryouts.
Included Value	3–4 Tournaments per season, 1 custom jersey per year, 2–3 practices/trainings per week (including gym time), and expert coaching from our knowledgeable and supportive staff.

 

Travel: Local teams generally do not travel farther than 90 minutes for any tournament.
Duration: Tournaments are one-day events only, lasting between 4 and 9 hours, and are held on weekends (Thursday or Friday events are rare).

 

Financial Notes

Separate Costs: The program fee does not cover personal travel to tournaments, food, or spectator entry fees.

Uniforms: The annual jersey is included in your tuition payment (one per athlete per year, regardless of seasons played). Parents/Athletes are responsible for providing their own spandex/leggings, knee pads, and volleyball shoes.

Tournament Schedule Release: To allow our coaches the freedom to build the best competition schedule for their team, tournament schedules are finalized and released after all teams are set.
